Neon Barrage

Privacy Policy

Updated October 29, 2026 · Version 1.2.0 · com.Kobasic.NeonBarrage

Last updated: October 29, 2026 (version 1.2.0)

This policy explains what data the mobile game Neon Barrage (Android, package com.Kobasic.NeonBarrage) collects, why, and what your choices are.

1. Who we are

Data controller: Andrija Rotter Kobasić (Kobasic), I. Vidovčica 11a, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia Contact: kobasic@gmail.com Website: https://kobasic.dev

2. The short version

  • Neon Barrage has no account and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or files.
  • Your game progress (levels, coins, lives, Cores, Arenas, boosters, settings) is stored only on your device. It is not sent to our servers. We do not run our own servers for the game.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob, and uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. These Google services process some device data, as described below.
  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you are asked for consent before personalised ads and analytics are used, and you can change your choice at any time in the game.
  • Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details.

3. Data processed, and why

3.1 Data stored on your device (not shared)

The game saves the following locally on your device:

  • your progress: level, stars, coins, lives, Cores, Arenas, boosters, missions and events
  • your settings: sound, music, volume, haptics
  • your consent choice
  • flags for purchases you own (such as Remove Ads or VIP)

This data never leaves your device through our code. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the game.

3.2 Advertising: Google AdMob

The game shows full-screen (interstitial) ads between levels, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for a bonus. There are no banner ads. To serve, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google AdMob may process:

  • the device advertising ID and app set ID
  • the IP address, which is used to estimate your approximate location (country or city level)
  • device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version)
  • ad interactions (ads viewed and tapped)

Legal basis: your consent for personalised ads (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Non-personalised or limited ads are based on our legitimate interest in funding a free game (Art. 6(1)(f)).

If you buy Remove Ads or VIP, interstitial ads are no longer shown. Optional rewarded ads stay available.

Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy How Google uses data from partner apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform is shown before ads and analytics are personalised. Your choice is stored on your device. You can change it at any time in the game under Profile → Settings → Privacy Options.

3.4 Usage statistics: Google Firebase Analytics

To understand how the game is played (for example, which levels are hard or where players stop), Firebase Analytics may process:

  • an app instance ID
  • device and app information
  • session and gameplay events (app opens, screens viewed, levels played)
  • approximate location derived from the IP address

Analytics is only enabled once you give consent where consent is required. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with other data about you.

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

3.5 Crash reports: Google Firebase Crashlytics

If the game crashes or freezes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report. The report contains:

  • the technical error trace
  • the device model and OS version
  • the app version
  • a random installation ID

This helps us find and fix bugs.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and secure (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3.6 In-app purchases: Google Play Billing

Purchases (coin packs, Starter Pack, Remove Ads, VIP) are processed by Google Play. We receive only a purchase confirmation (product and order token) so the game can unlock what you bought. We never receive your name, card or payment details.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise (GPS) location, contacts, photos, files or messages.
  • We have no accounts, leaderboards, chat or social features.
  • We do not knowingly target children (see section 8).

5. Sharing

The data described above is processed by Google (AdMob, UMP, Firebase and Google Play) as our service providers or as independent controllers, according to Google's own terms. We do not share data with anyone else, except where required by law.

6. International transfers

Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

  • Local game data: kept on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the game.
  • Crash reports (Crashlytics): kept for up to 90 days.
  • Analytics data (Firebase): kept for the retention period set in our Firebase project (at most 14 months), then deleted.
  • Advertising data: kept by Google according to its own retention policies.

8. Children

Neon Barrage is intended for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game in a way that involved personal data, contact us and we will help remove it.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • access your data
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • restrict its processing
  • object to its processing
  • data portability
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing

How to use them:

  • Change your consent: go to Profile → Settings → Privacy Options in the game (shown where consent applies, e.g. the EEA, the UK and Switzerland).
  • Reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation: go to Android Settings → Google → Ads.
  • Delete local game data: go to Android Settings → Apps → Neon Barrage → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the game.
  • Anything else, including deleting analytics or crash data linked to your device: email kobasic@gmail.com. Because the game has no account, we may need technical details from you, such as your device model and the approximate dates you played, to find the data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Croatia, this is the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), https://azop.hr.

10. Security

All data sent by the game to Google services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and publish the new version on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's release notes.
